The Prospect Park Fire Department’s primary function is to protect the people and their property in times of emergency.

The Prospect Park Fire Department is trained and ready for fire, rescue and other emergency situations.

The Fire Department is ready at any time, at any moment’s notice.

The Volunteer Fire Department consists of two fire companies with a total of 40 volunteers between them.  Hose Company # 1 has 1 Quint and a Rescue truck.  Fire Company # 1 has one pumper truck.  All approved local firefighters received training at the Passaic County Fire Academy and are kept updated on current trainings, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Volunteers
If you would like to join the Volunteer Fire Department you must be 18 years or older.  Applications are available at both Fairview Avenue and Brown Avenue Firehouses.
