Red Ribbon Week Announcement (pdf)
The Borough of Prospect Park’s Governing Body and the Municipal Alliance invites the community to take a visible stand against drugs by celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 23-31, 2018. Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of drug use and the problems related to drugs facing the community, and encourages parents, educators, business owners, and other community organizations to promote drug-free lifestyles. Fish & Chips Fundraiser for Prospect Park Recreation
Join the Borough of Prospect Park Board of Recreation for a Traditional Fish and Chips Dinner prepared by Tastefully British on Saturday, November 10th from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Buckingham Adult Medical Day Care (316 North 6th Street Prospect Park, NJ 07508). The cost is $15 per plate with a chicken option available. All proceeds to the Borough will be to fund the Prospect Park Recreation Department and our sports programs. 2018 Children's Basketball Program
Registration to join the Prospect Park Spartans Basketball league is now open for boys and girls for grades K-8! The registration fee is $50 per child, payable by check or money order made out to The Borough of Prospect Park. To register your child, visit the Recreation Director on the second floor of the Municipal Building (106 Brown Avenue) Monday-Friday (8:30AM - 4:30PM). 2018 Trick N' Trunk
Prospect Park children are invited to enjoy this year's Trick N' Trunk event on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in the parking lot of the Prospect Park Municipal Building at 106 Brown Avenue. Children are encouraged to come dressed in costumes, take pictures with the Mayor and Council and receive free candy and treats. If you are interested in participating in the event by decorating your vehicle and distributing candy, kindly contact the Recreation Director, Karina Figueroa, at 973-790-7902 ext. 516 or figueroak@prospectpark.net.
2018 Flu Clinic Dates
The Prospect Park Board of Health is holding its annual free Flu Clinic at the Municipal Building (106 Brown Avenue) on Thursday, October 18 from 9AM -12PM, Wednesday, October 24 from 3PM - 7PM and Thursday, October 25 from 9AM -12PM. The free Flu Clinics are open only to Prospect Park residents ages 18 years and older. If you are a Prospect Park resident and home-bound or if you have questions regarding the Flu Clinics, please call the Board of Health at 973-790-7902, ext. 533.

Passaic County Womens' Wellness Expo (pdf)
Benefit from a free wellness expo for women at Passaic County Technical Institute on September 29, 2018. 11th Annual Haunted Hayride on October 13, 2018

2018's Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration & Talent Showcase
Join the Borough community as we host our Third Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration and Talent Showcase. Performers are invited to showcase their talent acts that portray the rich diversity and culture of the Hispanic Heritage! We will honor community members of Hispanic Heritage for their civic and professional endeavors and enjoy the Hispanic culture through artistic performances and food. The program will run from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and refreshments will be served following the program.

Passaic County Board of Social Services Community Outreach Event (pdf)
On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, the Passaic County Board of Social Services will be holding another community outreach event at the Prospect Park Municipal Building from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.

Representatives from the PCBSS will be available during this time to speak about eligibility to receive assistance in the areas listed on the flyer. This is a great opportunity for residents (residents of Prospect Park and/or Passaic County residents) and community leaders to get information on resources that are available.
September 11 Candlelight Ceremony (pdf)
All are invited to join your neighbors, civic leaders and elected officials at the Borough's annual Candlelight Ceremony in honor of Patriot Day, September 11. The event takes place on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 6:00PM at the Prospect Park Municipal Building (106 Brown Avenue). Prospect Park Day Parade, Festival & Fireworks
All are invited to this year's Prospect Park Day parade, festival and fireworks show on Saturday, September 8, 2018 (rain date is September 15, 2018). The parade down Brown Avenue begins at 2:00PM and ends at 3:00PM in Hofstra Park. Immediately after the parade is the festival which takes place in Hofstra Park from 3:00PM to 7:00PM, ending with a fireworks immediately after the festival.
North 16th Street Reconstruction Notice (pdf)
Please be advised that on or about August 30, 2018 a road improvement project on North 16th Street and Park Avenue will begin. Full project details are availible on the below link. Travelers must exercise caution when traveling near the work area.
2018 Tax Bills
Due to a delay in the final budget from the State of New Jersey and additional state aid to the Manchester School District, the August tax bills were mailed out by August 23, 2018. The due date is extended to September 17, 2018.
